CNN and other news outlets have been reporting that conservative groups are upset that the University of Notre Dame has invited President Barack Obama to be the commencement speaker at its graduation ceremony. Now comes news that the Catholic bishop of South Bend, Indiana has announced he will not attend the ceremony because of it. I had the same reactions to both pieces of news: Who is surprised? And who gives a fuck? I mean, seriously: Could anyone care less about the Catholic bishop of South Bend, Indiana?
